In my role managing the social media accounts for Mitch’s Tavern, I have created a consistent theme and marketing efforts that represent the restaurant’s branding. I post daily, designing graphics via Canva and compiling user-generated content (UGCs) to ensure a visually aesthetic and cohesive identity. The content I produce not only engages our audience, but also serves as a valuable source of information. With the target audience being Raleigh residents and visitors, particularly the NC State community, my content highlights upcoming events, restaurant specials, and encourages support for local sporting events. I monitor the restaurant’s tagged location, posts, relevant hashtags, and engage with customers to gather information and gain a sense of community. Through my efforts managing the social media accounts, I have been able to successfully implement effective marketing strategies and create a consistent brand identity.
Circle of Sisterhood- NC State
I served as an assistant to the Circle of Sisterhood foundation’s VP of Communications for NC State University for two semesters.
In this role, I aided the VP of Communications by creating graphics and various content for the foundation’s Instagram account. I primarily utilized Canva to create this content and ensured a cohesive style by drawing inspiration from pre-existing content from the foundation’s Instagram.
My full collection of graphics created for the Circle of Sisterhood Foundation can be seen here.
Mock Social Media Samples
I completed a project in which I was given the opportunity to showcase my skills, for a variety of social media platforms. Given a photo, I was tasked with creating a product description in the form of an Instagram caption to effectively market the product. I successfully was able to create posts and write captivating captions for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X, each incorporating a call to action.
